Joan R. Landis LEBANON Joan R. Landis, 80, passed away Sunday, August 3, 2014, in the Hershey Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Dale W. Landis. Joan was born in Lebanon on May 11, 1934. She was a daughter of the late John and Esther Dissinger. Joan was a homemaker who enjoyed archery, bowling, knitting, cooking, baking, visiting people at Cedar Haven and spending time with her family. She was a member of St. Mary's Church. Surviving are two children, Cynthia wife of Victor Hartlieb of Lebanon, Eric husband of Deborah Landis of Carlisle; son-in-law, William Smith of Mechanicsburg; four grandchildren, Anthony Batz, Andrew Smith, Matthew Smith, Rebekah Landis; three great-grandchildren, Nathanial Smith, Alexander Batz, Chloe Batz; two brothers, Gary Schauer of Lebanon, Howard Schauer of Robesonia; and several nieces and nephews. Joan was preceded in death by a daughter, Crystel Smith; one grandson, Luke Landis; and two brothers, John Dissinger and Leo Schauer. Funeral Mass on Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at St. Mary's Church, 2 N. 8th St., Lebanon, 17046. Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery. Viewing hours Thursday from 12-1:30 p.m. at the church.
