John E. Blosick

John E. Blosick LEBANON John E. Blosick, 87, of Lebanon, passed away Tuesday, October 29, 2013, at Spang Crest Manor. He was the husband of Avis G. (Gilson) Blosick. Born in Shamokin on March 9, 1926, he was a son of the late Anna (Kleski) and John A. Blosick. John was a member of St. Cecilia's Church. He was a manager for many years for the Federal Prison Industries and was later awarded the Gold Plaque for outstanding service from the Department of Justice. John served in Army Air Force during WWII. He was a member of the Lancaster Woodcarvers Association and a life member of The American Legion. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Dr. Gregory Blosick and his wife Elaine; four daughters, Cheryl, wife of Daniel Murray, Dr. Kathy, wife of Dr. Terry Feest, Deborah Steeves, and Valerie Fisher; a brother, Joseph Blosick and his wife Dolores; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by his first wife, Dolores Futchko. Funeral Mass will be Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Cecilia's Church, 202 E. Lehman St., Lebanon. Viewing will be Monday morning from 9 to 10 a.m. at the church. Interment with full military honors will take place at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The , 3544 N.
