Metro Bohaczyk

Metro Bohaczyk ANNVILLE Metro Bohaczyk, 87, of Annville, passed away on Thursday, September 7, 2006, at the Hyman S. Caplan Pavilion, Lebanon. He was the husband of Isabelle A. Shipe Bohaczyk and they would have celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary on October 20th. Born in Mt. Carmel on October 21, 1918, he was the son of the late Harry and Olga Bohaczyk. He retired from the VA Medical Center, where he had worked as a Nurses Aid. He served in the US Army during WW II serving in the European Theater in five different campaigns and he was the recipient of a bronze star. He was a member of the Russian Orthodox Church in Mt. Carmel. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son M. Daniel, husband of Ilma Bohaczyk of Broad Brook, CT; brothers Ted Bohaczyk of Elysburg, Walley Bohaczyk of Shamokin; sisters Olga Donahue and Millie Orloff, both of Chicago; three grandchildren Joshua, Sarah and Brian; and two great-grandchildren Josu" and Hailee. He was preceded in death by brothers John, Alex, Daniel, Pete, Sam and George Bohaczyk and sisters Kay Skener, Mary Wengrenovich and Ann Visloskie. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 12, 2006, at 12:00 p.m. at the Strauss-Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home, 48 W. Market St. Jonestown. Viewing will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, E. Hanover Twp.
