Shirley A. Yarnall WOMELSDORF Shirley A. Yarnall, 75, died Thursday, October 4, 2012, at the Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon. She was the wife of Ronald L. Yarnall, to whom she was married 57 years on August 27, 2012. Born in Marion Twp., on February 5, 1937, she was the daughter of Dora H. (Wartluft) Swope of Myerstown, and the late Jerry L. Swope. She was a 1954 graduate of the Marion Twp. School where she was the May Queen, and a 1955 graduate of the Conrad Weiser Jointure. She sang in the County Chorus during her school years and later served as the Marionette Newsletter editor for the Marion Twp. School. Employed as a machine operator at Yarn Manufacturing, Womelsdorf, for eight years, she later worked in central supply at the Reading Hospital for six years, retiring in 1984. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Stouchsburg, where as a young child she played the piano and organ and earned a Sunday School pin for perfect attendance. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, crafts, and playing the accordion in her younger years. In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by daughters, Shiron K. Davis of Womelsdorf, and Sheila A., wife of Kristian Keller of Shillington; sons, Randy L., husband of Kathleen Yarnall of Womelsdorf, and Rodney J., husband of Sandra Yarnall of Robesonia; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Louise, wife of Franklin Hunsicker of Stouchsburg; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Kurtz. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 9, 2012, from Grose Funeral Home, 358 W. Washington Ave., Myerstown, preceded by a viewing at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Christ Lutheran Cemetery, Stouchsburg.
