Thelma M. Blouch

Thelma M. Blouch JONESTOWN Thelma M. Blouch, 76, passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2013, at the M.S. Hershey Medical Center. She was the wife of the late John E. Blouch. Born on a farm in North Annville Township, on May 31, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Dorothy Goodyear Hostetter. She graduated from Northern Lebanon in 1955 and the West Suburban Hospital School of Nursing in Oak Park, Ill., in 1958. She earned her B.S. in Nursing from Lebanon Valley College in 1968. She worked as a nurse at Polyclinic Hospital and Good Samaritan Hospital. The majority of her career was devoted to teaching in the Practical Nursing program at the Lebanon County Career and Technology Center. Thelma was a member of Covenant United Methodist Church, Lebanon. She enjoyed playing the piano, reading, cooking big family meals, and spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her son, Tim, husband of Amy Blouch of Cleona; daughter, Melissa, wife of David Yuri Hooper of Ephrata; grandchildren, Gracie Hooper, and Andrew and Melody Blouch; brothers, Curtis and Elson Hostetter; and her sister, Corinne Wagner. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2013, at 11 AM at the Covenant United Methodist Church, 346 N. 9th St., Lebanon. No viewing, but a visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the North Bellegrove Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
