Pauline Boyer Obituary

VIRGINIA Pauline E. Boyer, 91, died on Wednesday, March 23, 2011, at her home. She was born on Thursday, July 10, 1919, to the late John Houtz and Katie Houtz nee Hower in Frystown. She was a member of St. Matthews Evangelical Lutheran Church. She worked with her husband as co-owners of Mt. Zion Grocery Store. She enjoyed crosswords, baking, and crocheting. Surviving are sons, Lynn, spouse of Cinda Boyer of Harrisburg, Bruce, spouse of Randall Boyer of the Philippines; daughter, Elaine, spouse of Kelley Posey of Virginia; grandchildren, Quincy Boyer, Kyra Dermody, Melissa Pacak, Scott Posey, Conlan Boyer, and Hayley Boyer; and great-grandchildren, Amelia Dermody, Tyler Pacak, Kaitlyn Pacak, and Zachary Pacak. She was preceded in death by husband, Harry G. Boyer. Viewing will be on Monday, March 28, 2011, from 10 to 10:30 a.m. at St. Matthews Evangelical Lutheran Church, 534 E. Lehman St., Lebanon. Funeral services will be on Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the church. Burial will be at Zion "Goshert's" U.C.C. Cemetery, Lebanon, following the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association, Greater PA Chapter, 3544 N. Progress Ave., Suite 205, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
