Alverta H. Smith MYERSTOWN Alverta H. Smith, 91, died on Saturday, October 26, 2013, at Manor Care. She was born on Tuesday, January 3, 1922, to the late Charles Netzley and Fannie Netzley nee Sipling in Lancaster. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ-Schaefferstown. She was part owner of Smith Dutch Restaurant and worked in the Elco cafeteria. She was a member of Farm Women Group 2 and Neptune Fire Co., Ladies Auxiliary. Alverta enjoyed sewing and cooking. Surviving are sons, Stanley spouse of Geraldine Smith, Myerstown, Charles Smith, Lebanon; daughter-in-law, Hilda Smith; grandchildren, Stanley Smith, Jr., Rodney Smith, Keith Smith; great-grandchildren, Brittany Smith, Taylor Smith, Ella Smith; great-great-grandchild, Kai Stoltzfus; sister, Sally Hibshman; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by husband, John Smith Jr.; son, Robert Smith; grandchild, Steven Smith; six brothers and sisters. Viewing will be on Wednesday, October 30, 2013, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Christman's Funeral Home, Inc., 226 Cumberland St., Lebanon. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
