Benjamin Bennetch Obituary

Benjamin S. Bennetch PALMYRA Benjamin S. Bennetch, 76, died Thursday, December 17, 2009, at his home. Born August 11, 1933, in Lancaster County, he was a son of the late Raymond and Sally (Sholly) Bennetch. He was self employed, retiring from the floor and wall covering business. He was a member of Fishburn United Methodist Church, Hershey, and an avid golfer. Surviving are his wife, Doris (Bomgardner) Bennetch; children, Dale, husband of Rose Bennetch of Virginia Beach, Va., Darryl, husband of Lynne Bennetch of Harrisburg, Brian, husband of Sarah Bennetch of Rome, Italy, and Sherri Crawford of Hershey; sister, Ruth Naomi Yingst of Stevens; 12 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, December 21, 2009, at Fishburn United Methodist Church, 1215 Fishburn Road, Hershey, with a gathering following the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 1263, Lebanon, PA 17042; or the Evangelical Free Church of America, 901 E. 78th St., Minneapolis, MN 55420.
