Iona M. Benjamin LEBANON Iona M Benjamin, 83, died Tuesday, March 4, 2014. She was born in Scranton and resided in Lebanon for the last 28 years of her life. She worked as a seamstress and was a member of the International Ladies Garment Worker's Union. She is most recognized for being a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her late husband, Seymour Benjamin; sisters, Helen, Marilyn, and Carolyn; and brothers, Norman, Charles, John, and Eddie. She is survived by her three daughters, Darlene Barrett, Iona "Peaches" Facciponti, and Valerie Ventre; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Viewing will be at the Howard J. Snowdon Funeral Home in Scranton from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday. The funeral will begin at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
