Lewis M. Werner FREDERICKSBURG Lewis M. Werner, 84, passed away on Friday, July 12, 2013, with his wife at his bedside, at the Good Samaritan Transitional Care Unit, Lebanon. He was the husband of Janet Meyer, with whom he celebrated their 61th wedding anniversary in June 2013. Born in Fredericksburg, on November 28, 1928, he was the son of the late Lewis A. and Mary A Haldeman Werner. He graduated from Fredericksburg High School in 1946. Lewis was a retired lifetime dairy farmer and steward of the land. He was a lifetime member of the LickdaleTrinity United Methodist Church. Lewis was a former member of the Northern Lebanon Young Farmers. He was a member and former director of Lebanon County Farm Bureau. He was a former Swatara Township supervisor. He was also the vice president and caretaker of the Lickdale Trinity United Methodist Bethel Cemetery in Fredericksburg. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a son, Jeffrey L. Werner and wife, Susan M. of Jonestown; a daughter, Susan L., wife of Calvin F. Miller of Fredericksburg; five grandchildren, Troy F. and Ryan L. Miller, and Alexander J., Christopher L., and Timothy D. Werner; and four great-grandchildren, Dylan and Mackenzie Miller, and Riley and Charles Werner. He was preceded in death by his sister, Pauline Boyer. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 17, 2013, from the Lickdale Trinity United Methodist Church, 98 Fisher Ave., Jonestown. Interment will be in the Lickdale Trinity United Methodist Bethel Cemetery in Fredericksburg. There will be a viewing on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Rte. 72 and Camp Meeting Road, Jonestown, and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the church.
