Richard M. Berger BRADENTON, FL Richard M. Berger, 82, formerly of Lebanon, passed away on Saturday, August 16, 2014, at his home. He was the husband of Janet Epler Berger. Born in Hartford, Wis. on June 10, 1932, he was the son of the late Michael and Carrie Peterson Berger. In 1988, he retired from Murray's Steak in Lebanon, where he had worked in Research & Development. He had been a member of the Saint James Lutheran Church, Lebanon. He was a member of the BPOE 1511 and the American Legion. Dick and his wife were accomplished ballroom dancers. While living in Lebanon, he was active with the Lebanon Fairgrounds early development. He enjoyed woodworking, going to the beach, shows at local amusement parks, motorcycles and especially Ford Mustangs. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Kenny husband of Kathy Berger of Palmyra; daughters, Mardel Kline and Michelle wife of Lorin Koons, both of Lebanon; step-sons, Paul husband of Leslie Dierolf and Edwin Dierolf, both of Lebanon; stepdaughter, Debra wife of Michael McGowan of Lebanon; brother, Harold Berger of Oconomowoc, Wis.; sister, Karen of Seattle, Wash.; 17 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy Dierolf; and a granddaughter, Amanda Dierolf A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 22, 2014, at 1 p.m. at the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, 5 Camp Meeting Road, Jonestown. A viewing will be held on hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at the Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Four Diamonds Funds, P.O.
