Dr. Suzanne Worrilow LEBANON Dr. Suzanne Hayward Worrilow, 91, passed away on Sunday May 19, 2013, in Spang Crest Manor. She was the wife of the late William H. Worrilow, Jr. She was born in Roanoke, Va., on September 2, 1921, a daughter of the late John R. and Louise Cobb Hayward. She lived and practiced medicine as a family physician in the Lebanon community for over 50 years. Dr. Worrilow was a graduate of Wellesley College and the University of Virginia School of Medicine where she had the distinction of being the only female member of her 1947 graduating class. She completed her residency training at the Philadelphia General Hospital and had also served as an adjunct professor at the Penn State College of Medicine. She was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Society, Alpha Omega Alpha honor medical society, Sigma Xi, the American Academy of Family Physicians and many other local organizations. Surviving are her four children, Wendy L. wife of David Johnston, Lebanon; William H., III and wife Wendy Worrilow, Lebanon; Charles C. and wife Katy C. Worrilow, Fogelsville, PA; Bruce D. and wife Christina Worrilow, Boca Raton, Fla. She is also survived by grandchildren, Justin, Macy, William, Charles, Sofia and Maggie; brother-in-law, John L. Worrilow; sister-in-law, Polly Ann Ehrgood; as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Friday at 11 a.m. from the Open Door Baptist Church, 875 Academy Dr., Lebanon, PA 17046. There will be a viewing on Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Rohland Funeral Home, 508 Cumberland St., Lebanon, PA 17042. Interment will be made in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery.
