Donald G. Platteborze LEBANON Donald George Platteborze, 83, of 2111 Heilmandale Road, died Tuesday, March 11, 2014, in the M.S. Hershey Medical Center. He was the husband of Emma C. Stoner Platteborze, who died in 2003. Born in Berghill, Ohio, on August 29, 1930, he was the son of the late Charles and Margaret Platteborze. Donald was a retired U.S. Army Chief Warrant Officer, having served in Korea and with several deployments to Vietnam. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, and the outdoors. Surviving are a son, Curtis L. Platteborze of Waltham, Mass.; three daughters, Ashley M., wife of Michael Zombro, with whom he lived, Susan M., wife of Wayne Birch of Lebanon, and Denise L., wife of John Boyer of Lebanon; as well as several grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 2 p.m. at the Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory, 618 E. Main St., Annville. Interment will be in Grand View Memorial Park with full military honors.
