Arlene Grace Hetrick GRANTVILLE Arlene Grace Hetrick, 88, passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2014, at the Lebanon Valley Home, Annville. Born September 30, 1925, in Lebanon County, she was the daughter of the late Amos D. and Lizzie E. (Lingle) Clay. The widow of Ross A. Hetrick on August 20, 2013, she was also preceded in death by siblings, Carrie Clay, Anna Kessler, Kathryn Miller, Emma Cooley, and John Clay. A member of Zion Lutheran Church, Grantville, she sang in the choir and taught Adult Bible Class. She was a member of Farm Women Group #4, Grantville Volunteer Fire Company and Auxiliary, East Hanover Township Autumn Leaves, retired Girl Scout leader, Shellsville VFW Auxiliary where she was former chaplain, One Room Schoolhouse Association, Edelweiss, and Twin East Hanover Grange. A former member of the Red Rose Lodge, Middletown and 4-H leader, she enjoyed baking, crocheting, and making comfort tops, which were then put together for the homeless and poor. Surviving are her children, Harold R. Hetrick of Grantville, Colleen S., wife of Nigel Foundling of Lebanon, and Linda F. Smith of Hummelstown; grandchildren, Mandy, wife of Sean Riker, Keith Foundling, Christopher Smith and Stuart Smith. A funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, March 29, 2014 at Zion Lutheran Church, 10310 Jonestown Road, Grantville. Viewings will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Buse Funeral Home, 9066 Jonestown Road, Grantville, and 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday at the church. Interment will be in Zion Cemetery, Grantville.
