Ann M. Lingle ANNVILLE Ann M. Lingle, 83, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, April 13, 2014. Born in Lebanon, on September 30, 1930, she was the daughter of the late George L. and Lucy B. Arnold Shuey. Ann was a 1948 graduate of Lebanon Catholic High School and a 1951 graduate of St. Joseph's Hospital School of Nursing in Lancaster. Ann was a registered nurse at the Good Samaritan Hospital for 25 years and at the VA Medical Center for 17 years. She was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, Annville, where she especially enjoyed her Wednesday morning faith-sharing group. Ann enjoyed bus trips with NARFE and traveling to the beach, where she hosted her entire family each summer. Every year Ann and the other Bethany Beach Babes would spend the last week in September at the beach. She was an avid sports fan, following the Phillies and always making sure she had her NCAA bracket filled out, even this year. She was proud that she did not come in last in her bracket this year. She had a sunny disposition, was rich with friends, and loved to laugh. She inspired her daughter, granddaughter, and two nieces to go into the nursing field. Surviving are three sons, Thomas G. Lingle of Alexandria, Va., Robert M., husband of Sharon Lingle of Annville, and Richard A., husband of Deborah Hill of Bethesda, Md.; four daughters, Elizabeth A. Lingle of Annville, Lucille M., wife of Jeffrey L. Whisler of Lebanon, Kathleen L. Pond of Charlottesville, Va., and Susan M., wife of William Chandler of Annandale, Va.; 19 grandchildren, Bianca, Patrick, Isaac, Andrew, Clare, Amanda, Ashley, Michael, Taylor, Ellie, Joseph, Colette, Adam, Alex, Chris, Tyler, Caitlin, Matthew, and Sean; and 16 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brothers, Frank "Dink" Shuey and Thomas G. Shuey, who was killed in action in WWII; and a sister, Marion (Sister M. Rose Virginia) Shuey. She was also predeceased by her Aunt Clare Arnold, who was devoted to Ann and her family throughout her life. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, April 21, 2014, from the St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 125 Spruce St., Annville, at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Lebanon. There will be a viewing held on Sunday, April 20, 2014, at Kreamer Funeral Home & Crematory, 618 E. Main St., Annville, from 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in her memory to her church.
