James E. Wible FREDERICKSBURG James E. Wible, 74, passed away peacefully on Saturday May 3, 2014, at his home, surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was the husband of Norma Burch Wible. On September 28th, they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Born in Glassport on July 11, 1939, he was the son of the late Henry and Anna Demchak Wible. For over 30 years he had worked in sales for the former C. F. Manbeck in Fredericksburg and in 2002, he retired from Harlan Electric in Carlisle. Following their retirement, he and his wife enjoyed travelling on organized bus trips throughout the U.S. and stopping at the casinos. James was a member of the Our Lady of Fatima Mission, Jonestown, where he had served on the Parish Counsel and was instrumental in the move to its present location. He served in the U.S. Army Reserve. He was a former member of the Fredericksburg Legion, a current member of the Jonestown American Legion, a member and past president of the Fredericksburg Lion's Club and a member of the IBEW #126. Jim enjoyed raising his horses, gardening, hunting and playing cards with his friends. He was a diehard Steelers and 76ers fan. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter Michelle A. wife of Jim Wagner of Palmyra; granddaughter Jennifer; brother Robert husband of Marianne Wible of Port Vue; sisters Regina Thorne of N. Huntingdon, Patricia wife of Peter Burns of Bethel Park, Kathy Kiggins of N. Huntingdon and Carol wife of David Dranko of N. Huntingdon; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers Edward, Henry, husband of Bernadette Wible of McKeesport and Michael, husband of Jane Wible of Rowlette, TX and a sister Sarah Krajack. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Our Lady of Fatima Chapel, Jonestown, at 10 a.m. Friday, May 9, 2014. A viewing will be held on Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Rt. 72 & Camp Meeting Rd., Jonestown. Interment will be at the Holy Cross Cemetery, Lebanon. The family would like to especially thank the staff at the Lebanon Valley Cancer Center and For All Seasons Hospice for their compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Fatima Mission Building Fund, c/o Assumption BVM-St. Mary's Church, 2 N. 8th St., Lebanon, PA 17046.
