Dorothy E. Starner PALMYRA Dorothy Erline (Lineaweaver) Starner, 84, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 13, 2014, at the Lebanon Valley Brethren Home. She was born on Tuesday, October 29, 1929, in Lebanon, to the late Joseph R. and Nettie E. (Haag) Lineaweaver. She graduated Valedictorian from South Lebanon Township High School in 1947 and was owner and property manager for rental units and the Cadillac Motel in Palmyra. She was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church, Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 115, Tall Cedar Grandettes, and the Lebanon Women's Club. She enjoyed playing cards, crossword puzzles, movies, traveling, trips to the beach with her family, and cheering on PSU, Phillies, and Eagles. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially watching and supporting her grandchildren and great-grandchildren in their activities and sporting events. She is survived by a son, Chuck E. Starner and wife, Barbara of Annville; three daughters, Stephanie L. Laudermilch and husband, Dennis of Lebanon, Suzanne E. Frazier and husband, Edward of Palmyra, and Shirley A. Speraw and husband, Robert of Palmyra; 12 grandchildren, Kerry, Travis, and Jordan Starner, Brandon and Brett Laudermilch, Megan and Ian Frazier, Russell III, Ryan, and Zachary Hollenbach, and Mindy and Brandon Speraw; seven great-grandchildren and one to be born any day; two brothers, Nathan Lineaweaver and wife, Josephine, and Harold Lineaweaver and wife, Doris; and a sister, Lucille Behney. She was predeceased by four brothers, David, Mahlon, Wilson, who died in WWII, and James Lineaweaver; and a brother-in-law, Chester Behney. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 19, at 11 a.m. at Bethany United Methodist Church, 20 E. Cherry St., Palmyra, PA 17078 with Pastor John Lynch officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park, Annville. Family and friends are invited for viewing on Sunday, May 18, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Rothermel Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra, and on Monday from 10 a.m. until time of service at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her honor to Bethany United Methodist Church.
