Shirley A. Shirk EPHRATA Shirley A. Shirk, 67, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, May 29, 2014, after a long battle with cancer and with her daughters by her side. Her husband, Dale K. Shirk, passed away on July 17, 2009. Born in Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Calvin and Evan C. (Amoroso) Wright. Shirley was a member of Word of Life Deaf Lutheran Church on Route 501 in Lancaster. Until her illness, she worked in data entry for the PA Department of Revenue. She is survived by four daughters, Christina, wife of Josef Stambulski of Creal Springs, Ill., Sharon, wife of Joel Nicarry of Fredericksburg, Tammy, wife of Paul Klick of Palmyra, and Laurie, wife of Joseph Kramer of Myerstown; and 10 grandchidren. Shirley was the oldest of six children. In addition to her husband and parents, Shirley was preceded in death by a son, Jay Oliver Harvill. Friends will be received at Paul L. Gravenor Home for Funerals, 100 W. Main St., Ephrata, from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, June 2, and from 10 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 3. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at Gravenor's with the Rev. Russell Rockwell officiating. Place of interment will be St. Paul's U.M. Church Cemetery, Terre Hill.
