William J. Gehret LEBANON William J. Gehret, 88, passed away Saturday, May 31, 2014, at Good Samaritan Hospital. He was the husband of Anna (Frittelli) Gehret. Born in Lebanon on February 8, 1926, he was a son of the late William and Margaret (McCaffrey) Gehret. William was a 1944 graduate of Annville High School. He worked for Unger Brothers for over 30 years and for Henise Tire Service in Lebanon. He was a faithful member of St. Cecilia's Church and served in the U.S. Air Force during WWII. He enjoyed gardening, traveling, history, and cars. William was a devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed the beauty of the outdoors and lived each day to the fullest, especially moments spent with the family that he and Anna so lovingly raised. In addition to his wife of 50 years, he is survived by a daughter, Tana G., wife of Phillip DeWire; two sons, William J., husband of Laura Gehret, and Michael J., husband of Melissa Gehret; and four grandchildren, Jonathan, Paul, Nicole, and Chloe. Funeral services will be held on Thursday morning at 11 a.m. at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc., 126 S. 9th St., Lebanon, 17042. A viewing will be held Thursday morning from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service. Entombment with full military honors will follow at Grand View Memorial Park in Annville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in William's name may be made to Susquehanna Association for the Blind, 244 N. Queen St., Lancaster, PA 17603; or The Church of St. Cecilia, 202 E.
