Daniel F. Steiner, Jr. ANNVILLE Daniel Franklin Steiner, Jr., 87, passed away on Wednesday, June 25, 2014, at the M.S. Hershey Medical Center. He is survived by his wife, Janet P. Geise Steiner, with whom he celebrated 64 years of marriage on June 10, 2014. Born in Pottsville, on December 18, 1926, he was the son of the late Daniel F., Sr. and Mary Alice Frymoyer Steiner. He was a member of Annville United Methodist Church. Daniel was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, enlisting at the close of WWII. He was a graduate of the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. Daniel moved to Annville and began his career as an artist/graphic designer at Lebanon Valley Offset. He then founded his own business, Steiner Graphics, Inc., which he owned and operated for over 30 years. Daniel was one of the founding members of the Lebanon Valley Art Association. Upon retirement, he spent much of his time summering at the family home on Orr's Island, Maine. He was also a founding member of the Sebascodegan Artists Gallery in Harpswell, Maine. Daniel was known throughout southern Maine for his watercolor seascapes and landscapes. He was also an active member of the Orr's Island Yacht club. Other favorite pastimes included building and flying RC model airplanes and fishing, in addition to watercolor painting. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are daughters, Amy Steiner and companion, Ann Daubert of Mt. Gretna, and Lisa S. Laudermilch and husband, Jack of Hilton Head Island, S.C. He was predeceased in death by a sister, Gladys Wenner. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, July 1, 2014, at 11 a.m. from Mt. Annville Cemetery, N. Rt 934, above Lebanon Valley College, Annville. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in his memory to the Lebanon County Humane Society, 150 N.
