Frances M. Hetrick PALMYRA Frances M. Hetrick, 88, passed away Monday, July 7, 2014, at the Masonic Village, Elizabethtown. Born November 30, 1925, in Natalie, PA, she was a daughter of the late Rebecca (Hornberger) Behrendt. Raised in the Shamokin area by her grandparents, Harry and Diana Hornberger, she was also preceded in death by aunts, Hazel Martin and Anna Peric, and uncles, Frank, Albert "Butch" and Joe Hornberger. A member of Gravel Hill United Methodist Church, the Ever Loyal Sunday School Class, and the Shellsville VFW #9639 Ladies Auxiliary, she excelled as a homemaker. She was an avid camper and enjoyed crafting. Surviving are her husband of almost 69 years, Orville W. Hetrick; daughters, Shirley Suchy (Gary), Donna Hetrick (Frank), Joyce Hetrick (Tom), Deborah Blouch (Scot) and Barbara Heinaman (Jerry), all of Lebanon County; brothers, Arthur Sanborn of New York and Fred Behrendt of Florida; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, July 11, 2014 at her church, 131 Gravel Hill Road, Palmyra, preceded by a viewing from 10 a.m. Interment in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra. Memorial contributions may be made to Gravel Hill United Methodist Church Building Fund, 131 Gravel Hill Road, Palmyra, PA 17078; or Masonic Village Hospice, 1 Masonic Drive, Elizabethtown, PA 17022.
