Claude R. Houser LEBANON Claude R. Houser, 65, died on Tuesday, July 15, 2014, at Harrisburg Hospital. He was born on Saturday, November 20, 1948, to Raymond Houser and Verna Houser nee Hostetter in Lebanon. He was a member of Rocherty United Methodist Church and worked as a salesman at Plasterer. He was a proud veteran of the Army, having served in the Vietnam War. He loved his family - his grandkids were the light of his life - and his dogs, Gizmo and Boo. Claude enjoyed gardening and bird watching. Surviving are wife, Carol A. Houser nee Dohner; sons, David, spouse of Vi Houser, Jonathan, spouse of Christy Houser, and Thomas Houser; daughter, Amy Houser and partner, Cathy; grandchildren, Dakota Houser, Danielle Houser, Chase Houser, and Wyatt Houser; brothers, Ronald Houser, Leon Houser, Glenn Houser, Dennis Houser, and Gary Houser; and sister, Joyce Gipe. He was preceded in death by brother, Bruce Houser. Viewing will be on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Christman's Funeral Home, Inc., 226 Cumberland St., Lebanon. Funeral services will be on Saturday, July 19, 2014, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with viewing starting at 9 a.m. Burial will be at Cornwall Cemetery, Cornwall, with full military honors following the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Rocherty United Methodist Church, 255 Village Drive, Lebanon, PA 17042. Christman's Funeral Home, Inc. is honored to serve the family with the arrangements.
