William P. Harris FREDERICKSBURG William P. Harris, 64, formerly of Myerstown, died Wednesday, August 6, 2014, at his residence. He was the husband of Loretta A. (Weaver) Harris, to whom he was married 33 years on June 20, 2014. Born in Elizabethtown, on June 30, 1950, he was the son of the late Charles L. and Margaret (Helt) Harris. He was employed as a crane operator for 17 years at Kohl Brothers, Myerstown, as a realtor for 10 years at CENTURY 21 Krall Real Estate, Lebanon, and as a cook at the Twin Spruce Boarding Home in Myerstown. William was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church, Annville, where he played the guitar in the praise and worship team. An avid turkey hunter, he was a member of the Sweet Arrow Rod & Gun Club, Fredericksburg, enjoyed wood carving, fishing, cooking, and visiting with friends on the porch at the Lickdale General Store. In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons, Greg, husband of Beth Harris of Jonestown, Nathan Harris, fiance of Tiffany Mertz of Bethel, Jeremy, husband of Stephanie Harris of Mesa, Ariz., and Matthew, husband of Tiffany Harris of Jonestown; 11 grandchildren; a sister, Kathy, wife of David Schaeffer of Glendale; and a brother, John R., husband of Sandra Harris of Rock Island, Tenn. A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 16, 2014, at 10 a.m. at Emmanuel United Methodist Church, on the corner of Boundry Road and Rt. 443, Indiantown Gap, followed by a gathering at 1 p.m. at the Sweet Arrow Rod & Gun Club, 100 Laurel Drive, Fredericksburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made payable to Penn State University, designated "Transplant Surgery," and sent to the Penn State Hershey Medical Center, c/o Office of University Development, P.O.
