Dennis Gehl Kauffman, 64, passed away on May 24, 2017. He was the husband of Carol E. Kauffman, with whom he celebrated 44 years in marriage.
Dennis was born on June 21, 1952 in Minot, ND to the late Harold and Wilma (Kropf) Kauffman. Dennis was a dairy farmer and enjoyed working with the cows and animals on his farm. He was a member of Gingrichs Mennonite Church in Lebanon and in recent years also attended Annville Church of the Brethren. He enjoyed choral and classical music and was a member of the Franconia-Lancaster Chorale for many years. Many people appreciated his dedication to roadside trash clean-up in South Annville Township. He also was a volunteer worker at Jubilee Ministries.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his children, Melissa Bomgardner of Palmyra, Melanie and her husband, Glenn Barnhart Jr., of Palmyra, Melonica Hoffer of Andover, NY; grandchildren, Brianna, Mikayla, Malayna, Leah, Nathan, Jesse, Rachel, Kendall, Taylor, and Derrick; great-grandchildren, Grayson and Amber; siblings, Wayne Kauffman of Archbold, OH, Dwaine Kauffman of Minot, ND, Dwight Kauffman of Pandora, OH, Elton Kauffman of Blue Sky, Alberta, Canada, Verla Haas of Blue Sky, Alberta, Canada, and Zella Kauffman of Souderton. He was preceded in death by his sister, Zolla Kauffman.
Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. at Gingrich's Mennonite Church, 100 Forney Road, Lebanon. Interment will be private. There will be a time of visitation with the family at the church from 4 – 6 p.m.
