LEBANON Douglas R. Dean, 73, died Friday, September 3, 2010, in Manor Care, Pottsville. He was the husband of Carol E. Hamil Dean, with whom he celebrated 52 years of marriage. He was born August 27, 1937, in Muskegon, Mich., a son of the late Oliver and Kathryn Robinson Dean. Douglas was a product engineer developer for Leggett and Platt, Inc. of Covington, Ga., and a member of the Bible Fellowship Church of Lebanon. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a daughter, Teresa L. Williams of Cleona, and her daughter, Susie R. Williams; brothers, Arthur, husband of Doris Dean of Indiana, and Larry Dean of Michigan; sisters-in-law, Christine, wife of John Venlet, and Fran, wife of Lyle Sebright, both of Georgia; and brothers-in-law, James, husband of Janet Hamil of Michigan, and John, husband of Jeri Hamil of Tennessee. He was preceded in death by brothers, Robert Dean and Bruce Dean; and brother-in-law, Cliff, husband of Bev Hamil of North Dakota. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2010, at 2 p.m. in the South Gwinnett Baptist Church, 3400 Rosebud Road, Loganville, GA 30052.
