Amelia P. Ferretti MYERSTOWN Amelia P. Fabiochi Ferretti, 95, recently residing at Columbia Cottage, Palmyra, passed away peacefully Tuesday, November 6, 2012, in the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. Born March 31, 1917, in Myerstown, she was the daughter of the late Francesco and Maria D'Amari Fabiochi. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nicholas P. Ferretti, who died November 4, 1996, and to whom she was married 50 years. Amelia was a graduate of Bryland School of Cosmetology, Reading, and the owner and proprietor of Amelia's Beauty Shoppe, Myerstown where she enjoyed her profession for over 61 years. Prior to that, she was employed in the pressing department of Publix Shirt Company. She was a member of Mary Gate of Heaven Catholic Church, Myerstown, the Council of Catholic Women at her church, a former member of the Myerstown VFW Auxiliary, National Cosmetology Association and Myerstown Woman's Club. As a couple, she and her husband enjoyed ballroom dancing as members of the Snitz Creek and After Six Dance Club, Lebanon. Her past times included baking, cooking, reading and in her earlier years, bowling. Surviving are two daughters, Monica Ferretti and Donna Wise, wife of Clair Wise, Lebanon and granddaughter, Tiffany N. McDonnell, wife of Edna McDonnell of Highland Beach, Florida; as well as her brother, James Fabiochi, Myerstown. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Warren and Louis Fabiochi and two infant brothers; and four sisters, Linda Fabiochi, Julia Fabiochi, Annunziata Iervella, and Yolanda Mongelluzzi. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Mary Gate of Heaven Church, 188 McKinley Ave, Myerstown. Viewing will be held Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. with the rosary being recited at 6 p.m. and Saturday morning from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc., 126 S. 9th St., Lebanon, PA 17042. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Amelia's memory may be made to Mary Gate of Heaven Church Building Fund, 188 McKinley Avenue, Myerstown, PA 17067.
