Richard J. Allwein LEBANON Richard John Allwein, 62, passed away on Wednesday , November 7, 2012, in the Good Samaritan Hospital. Richard was the husband of Debra K. Barcynski, to whom he was happily married for 35 years. He was born in Lebanon, a son of Sarah L. Williams Allwein of Lebanon and the late Wayne C. Allwein Jr. Mr. Allwein was employed by Bethlehem Steel for 18 years. He then went on to work for Schott Pharmaceuticals as a Set up/Trainer and retired after 25 years of service. He was a member of the North American Hunters Association and R. Field and Stream. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and hiking. Richard was a warm and caring man who greatly enjoyed the comforts of his home and the company of his close friends and family. His insights and experiences in life were always helpful in influencing his loved ones down the right path when they were in times of need. He attended St. Cecilia's Church in Lebanon. Surviving, in addition to his mother and his wife, are two sons, Richard J., husband of Daffney Allwein of Lorton, Va., and Devan R., husband of Melissa Allwein of Fleetwood; two daughters, Shelley L., wife of Roger White of Lebanon, and Lisa M., wife of Rick DePugh of Jonestown; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three brothers, Christopher G., husband of Debra Allwein of Lebanon, Kenneth M., husband of Kathy Allwein of South Lebanon, and Michael S., husband of Angela Allwein of Myerstown; sister, Phyllis M., wife of Ned Dinger of Lebanon; and several nieces and nephews. The family respectfully requests that the viewing and funeral proceedings be attended by family and close friends. A funeral service will be held in the Roland Funeral Home, Inc., 508 Cumberland St., Lebanon 17042 on Wednesday, November 14, 2012, at 11 a.m. A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
