Patrick M. Werth, Sr. MYERSTOWN Patrick M. Werth, Sr., 68, died Monday, December 24, 2012, at home. He was the husband of Brenda A. "Peachie" (Yeiser) Werth to whom he was married 46 years on November 26. Born in Lebanon on December 24, 1944, he was the son of Cyril W. "Red" Werth, Jr., husband of Mary L. (Ginnetto) Werth of Lebanon, and the late Christine (Blantz) Werth. A 1962 graduate of Lebanon High School, he served in the U.S. Navy for four years during which time he was stationed on the USS Kitty Hawk. He was employed as a mail carrier by the U.S. Postal Service, Lebanon, for 35 years, retiring on April 30, 2004. He was a life member of Myerstown VFW Post 6076, a member of the Lebanon American Legion, the 40/8 La Societe des 40 Hommes et 8 Chevaux, a life member of the Goodwill Fire Co. in Myerstown, and was a member of the Friendship Fire Co., Lebanon. An avid Dallas Cowboys fan, he also enjoyed NASCAR, the Philadelphia Phillies, trap shooting, and camping at Steamboat Landing in Lewes, Delaware where he enjoyed driving his golf cart. In addition to his wife, father, and step mother, he is survived by sons, Gary C., husband of Lori Yeiser of Myerstown, and Patrick M. Werth, Jr. of Myerstown; brother, Cyril W. "Butch" III, husband of Carole Werth of Lebanon; granddaughters, Brittany and Tiffany Yeiser; great grandson, Carter Andrew Plantz; sister-in-law, Loretta, wife of Paul Bryan of Myerstown; step sisters, Louise, wife of Walter "Skip" Gerhart of Manheim, Eve, wife of Fred Wolfe of Hummelstown, and Carol Brown of Lebanon; step brothers, Victor, husband of Donna Rollman of Reading, and Bernie, husband of Barb Rollman of Fredericksburg; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, James T. Werth. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 29, 2012 from Grose Funeral Home, 358 W. Washington Ave., Myerstown, with a viewing from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be in New Union Cemetery, Myerstown.
