Kenneth E. Henning ANNVILLE Kenneth "Kenn" E. Henning, 79, formerly of Lebanon, died Thursday, January 17, 2013, at the Lebanon Valley Home of U.C.C., Annville. Born in Lebanon, on August 26, 1933, he was the son of the late Webster H. and Annie J. (Elliott) Henning. A 1951 graduate of Lebanon High School, he was a member of St. Mark's U.C.C., Lebanon. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War, from 1951 to 1954, on board the U.S.S. Minford CVE-120. He had been Vice President of Operations in PA and Terminal Manager at the National Retail Transportation, Myerstown, retiring in 2004. From 1968 to 1982, he also worked for Interstate Dress Carriers, Myerstown. He owned his own business, Henning Trucking, Lebanon, from 1954 to 1968. He was a member of the Mt. Lebanon Masonic Lodge #226, the Tall Cedars Quitapihilla Forest #25, Lebanon. He was the founder of Quittie Woods, Lebanon; was a life member of the Lebanon VFW Post 23, the Navy Club, Ship 91, of Lebanon, the Penn State Alumni Assn. and Penn State Nittany Lion Club; was a member of the National American Legion; and was an avid trap shooter. He is survived by a daughter, Sharri C. Miller of Bradenton, Fla.; a son, Larry C.. husband of Patricia Donmoyer of Leonardtown, Md.; brothers, Gerald, husband of Jackie Henning of Lebanon, and Russell, husband of Dolly Henning of Fredericksburg; grandchildren, Sean and Nathan Donmoyer, and Allen and Cory Cole; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Deanna Jo Henning in 1971, and a sister, Jeanette Ginnetto. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 26, 2013, at 11 a.m. from Grose Funeral Home, 358 W. Washington Ave., Myerstown. Viewing Saturday at 10 a.m. A Masonic service will be held at 9:45 a.m. Interment at Covenant/Greenwood Cemetery, Ebenezer.
