Oscar K. Heinbach PINE GROVE Oscar K. Heinbach, 87, went home to be with his Lord & Savior, surrounded by his family on Tuesday, March 26, 2013, at his residence. Born on December 13, 1925 in Pine Grove, he was a son of the late Oscar S. and Ella Kramer Heinbach. Oscar was a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ in Pine Grove. Oscar was a graduate of Pine Grove High School and attended Ohio State University. He was a Navy veteran during WWII, where he completed his training in the electrical field. Oscar worked as a Electrician for over 60 years, first in Lebanon and then at Heinbach Electric in Pine Grove. He was a member of the Electrical Service Association of America. Oscar was a founding member, past president and extremely active member of the Pine Grove Area Ambulance Association. He taught EMT and CPR classes, was a former board member of the American Heart Association and member of the American Red Cross. An avid golfer, he enjoyed playing golf with the Sod Busters and the Hidden Valley Sr. Citizen's Golf League. Oscar was muched loved by his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was always there to help when it was needed and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Preceding him in death were his wife, Catherine Spancake Heinbach on June 4, 2001 and his sister, Raeanna Kull. Surviving are two daughters, Ann & husband Gary Herring of Pine Grove, and Jan Haller of Lititz; two granddaughters; three great-grandchildren; and a brother, Carl Heinbach of Pine Grove. Celebration of Life Services will be held in the H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., Monday, April 1, 2013 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Raymond Hurst officiating. There will be a viewing on Sunday, March 31, from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Monday from 9 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Pine Grove, at the convenience of the family. The family would prefer, in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to either the Pine Grove Area Ambulance Association, P.O. Box 125, Pine Grove, PA 17963, or to the Child Evangelism Fellowship, 711 Deep Creek Road, Hegins, PA 17938, in his memory.
