Vernon L. Yost Obituary
Vernon L. Yost CONEWAGO TWP. Vernon L. "Ike" "Yosty" Yost, 77, of Conewago Township, Dauphin County, passed away Friday, August 16, 2013. Born January 10, 1936 in Dillsburg, he was a son of the late Paul and Beulah (Bittinger) Yost and was also preceded in death by a brother Charles Yost. Retired from Hershey Chocolate Company with 43 years of service, he attended Conewago Church of the Brethren. He was a member of Chocolate Workers Union Local 464, a. U. S. Army veteran, and an avid bowler who loved nature and being outdoors. Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Janet B. (Brandt) Yost; daughter, Tammy R. Yost of Carlisle; siblings, Dorothy Frane of Columbia, John Yost of Jonestown, Alice Eisenhauer of Lebanon and Paul Yost of Lebanon. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at Conewago Church of the Brethren, 7035 Schoolhouse Road, Hershey, PA 17033. Viewings will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Buse Funeral Home, 145 N. Grant St., Palmyra and 10:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the church. Interment will be in Shells Cemetery, Grantville. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Conewago Church of the Brethren.
