Donald E. Stoner CORNWALL Donald E. Stoner, 82, Cornwall, passed away Wednesday, August 28, 2013, at his residence. He was the husband of Anna L. McCurdy Stoner to whom he was married for 62 years. He was born in Lebanon County on January 1, 1931, son of the late J. Shirk and Maude Nye Stoner. He was the original owner of Stoner Electric, Lebanon for over 60 years. He was an Air Force Veteran of the Korean War, having served at Mc Dill AFB. He was a Hershey High School graduate, Class of 1947. Donald was an active member of Fontana United Christian Church; served on United Christian Church Trustee Board; was involved on the official Board of Fontana United Christian Church; currently serving as president of Fontana United Chapel Board and he coordinated bus trips for the Sunday School. He was a member of Log Hollow Club, Potter County and a former longtime member of the Rotary Club of Lebanon. In addition to his faith in God he enjoyed time with his family. He was a farmer at heart and placed their farm on the Preservation List for Lebanon County. He enjoyed boating on the Chesapeake, hunting and dancing. In addition to his wife Donald is survived by children, Daniel L., husband of Sherri Stoner, Cornwall; Daryl L., husband of Becky Stoner, Palmyra; Doreen K., wife of Stephen Lazorcik, Cornwall; Diane K., wife of Ned Krissinger, Cornwall; Douglas D., husband of Christine Stoner, Glen Moore; six grandsons; six granddaughters; sisters, Loretta Walmer, Lebanon; Jean, wife of Adin Mumma, Mt. Joy and brother, Glenn, husband of Jeannine Stoner, Palmyra. He was preceded in death by son, David Lynn Stoner; a grandson, brothers, Russell, Clair, Bruce and Cyrus Stoner. Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend Donald's funeral services on Saturday, August 31, 2013 from Fontana Chapel, 22 Fontana Ave., Lebanon at 10 a.m. with Pastor Thomas R. Clawser officiating. A viewing will be held Friday, August 30, 2013 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Porterfield-Scheid Funeral Directors & Cremation Services, Ltd., 890 Isabel Dr., (next to Quentin Circle) Lebanon. Viewing on Saturday at Fontana Chapelprior to service. Burial will be made in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra. Please omit flowers, memorial remembrance in Donald's memory may be made to Fontana Chapel, 22 Fontana Ave, Lebanon, PA 17042.
