Obituary Condolences

Robert P. Zidik LEBANON Robert P. Zidik, 82, passed away Friday, November 29, 2013, at home. He was the husband of Helen M. (Kudela) Zidik, with whom he celebrated 60 years of marriage in August 2013. Born in Lebanon, on October 19, 1931, he was a son of the late Michael and Louise (Petras) Zidik. Robert worked as a laborer/burner for Crane Co. Cleaver Brooks, Kercher's Machine Shop, and as an aide for Fisher Bus Company. He was a member of St. Cecilia's Church, The F&G Conservation Club, and a proud veteran of the U.S. Army. Robert enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Most times, you could find him working in his woodshop on one of his many projects or teaching his grandchildren and great-grandchildren "how it's done". He was an avid hunter and fisherman, bagging his first bear in West Virginia at the age of 81. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Theresa Mann, Debra, wife of Jere Wampler, and Barbara Ryan; five grandchildren, Robert, Jamie, Matthew, Michelle, wife of William Hower, and Michael Mann, husband of Megan; four great-grandchildren, Rylee, Carson, Thomas, and Joseph; and a sister, Doris Arnold. He was predeceased by four brothers, Thomas, Andrew, Michael, Jr., and Ronald. Funeral Mass Thursday 12 p.m. at St. Cecilia's Church, 202 E. Lehman St., Lebanon 17046. Interment with full military honors will follow at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Viewing hour Thursday morning from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc., 126 S. 9th St., Lebanon 17042.
