Joseph C. Ainsworth MYERSTOWN Joseph "Joe" C. Ainsworth, 66, died Monday, April 7, 2014, at his residence. He was the husband of Mary Louise (Bentz) Ainsworth, to whom he would have been married 44 years on May 29, 2014. Born in Lebanon on July 8, 1947, he was the son of Amelia (Kissinger) Cowden of Florida. A 1965 graduate of Lebanon High School, he served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a former soccer coach for Iona Youth Soccer and Cedar Crest Girls Soccer. He was an avid bowler and enjoyed playing poker. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Vanessa wife of Rodney Smith of Myerstown; a son, Ian Ainsworth of Lebanon; beloved grandchildren, Jada Rose Ainsworth, Ella Margaret Smith, and Rowan Jacob Ainsworth. Services and interment will be private at the convenience of the family. A viewing will be held Friday, April 11, 2014 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Grose Funeral Home, 358 W. Washington Avenue, Myerstown. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Lebanon County, 150 N. Ramona Road, Myerstown, PA 17067.
