Sad to hear about Mike. Mike was like an older brother to me growing up in Salinas/Prunedale CA. We shared a trailer for a couple months while our family stayed with the Curby family while Terry was building our home next door up the hill. My parents grew up with Gayle and Terry in Monterey and were life long friends. Mike and I and others in the neighborhood would ride motor cycles all day long from day light to dark. He taught me how to ride and everything about a motorcycle engine. I also recall watching him play football on the North Salinas HS line. We had many great times growing up and I think often about those times especially when visiting my parents home. My thoughts and prayers are with the entire Curby family.

Dear Candace, although we never met your dad, I'm sure he was a wonderful man and he was even luckier to have you as his daughter. I'm sure he was very, very proud of you. Please know that you, and your entire family are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Sending you love all the way from New York.

I met Micheal many years ago through a mutual friend, Kathy Crisco-Lamb. I will always remember him as an adventurous man, who had exemplary love for his family.
The memory of his passion will live on.
