Mary Jane Uhler nee Buffenmeyer, 88, passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2016, in Spang Crest Manor. She was the wife of the late James H. Uhler. She was born in Lebanon on May 30, 1927, a daughter of the late Abram S. and Reteisa H. Laudermilch Buffenmeyer.
She was retired from Weaver's Garment Factory in Cleona.
She is survived by siblings, Helen M. Sholly, Bertha wife of Frank DiFava, Alice F. Pietronuto, Ruth E. wife of Clyde Gettle, Ida E. Hurst, Abram L. and wife Peggy Buffenmeyer, Jacob I. and wife Barbara Buffenmeyer, Earl B. and wife Faye Buffenmeyer. She was preceded in death by sisters, Reteisa H. "Rita" Zellers, Ana Mae, Irene S. Grace I.; and brothers, John H. and David R.
Funeral services will be Friday at 11 a.m. in Midway Church of the Brethren, 13 Evergreen Road, Lebanon, PA 17042, where a viewing will begin at 10 a.m. Private interment will be held at a later date in the Midway Cemetery. The Rohland Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

Aunt Mary will long be remembered for the beautiful birthday and special occasion cards that she enjoyed sending to her nieces and nephews while they were growing up and into their adulthood. She surprised her card recipients in the later years by enclosing the little glitter fun decals.
Mary Jane enjoyed doing embroidery- and hand embroidered tablecloths for some of her sisters!
She was loved among the family for her sweet disposition, as sweet as a 'Mary Jane' candy. :) I know she endeared herself to the Spang Crest family in the last years just from the brief encounter I had with two members of staff upon my last visit with Mary in January 2016.
