ENGEL, Elvira Elizabeth
It is with no regrets but extreme sadness that we announce the passing of Elvira Elizabeth Engel. Elvira was born on November 15, 1934 in Lemberg, SK and passed away after a lengthy illness in Regina SK on Sunday, February 24, 2013 at the age of 78 years. She was predeceased by her parents Anton and Maria (Schick) Engel; her brother Richard Engel; and her brothers-in-law Wilbert Smith and Rudy Rudolph. Left to cherish her memory are her sisters Helen Smith and Florence Rudolph; sister-in-law Ruth Engel; nieces, nephews and numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews. Elvira never married and was the favorite aunt to her nieces and nephews. She was a world traveler and always enjoyed a good time with family and friends. She will be missed. The family is grateful to staff at Parkside Extendicare for her care and support in looking after her for the last two years. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at Regina Funeral Home, Hwy #1 East, Regina, SK on Friday, March 8, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Elvira may be made to a charity of one's choice. I am sorry for the loss of contact with my dear GodMother. She always brought a smile to everyones face and made you feel loved and important to her. I have many fond memories of spending time with her over the years. Always ready to be the life of the party, she will be sadly missed.
