It is with great sadness that the family of Gladys McGillis announces her passing at the Langham Senior Citizen Home on March 28, 2013, at the age of ninety six years. Left to mourn her passing and cherish her memory are her daughter Linda (Chris) Haigh; her sons, Alan (Terry) McGillis and Wyatt (Vera) McGillis; granddaughters Christine (Steve) Haas, Lana (Tom) Watier; grandson Dale Lachance; granddaughter Amanda (Bob) Peddle; her great-grandchildren Alex, Lana, Matthew and Veronica; and her only surviving sibling, George Gettle. Gladys was predeceased by her husband George McGillis and daughter Joan Lachance; her parents Emil and Leontina; step father John Magorka; and her brothers Fonce Gettle, Bill Majorki and Alex Majorki. She loved dancing, gardening, sewing, curling and social events with family and friends. She also made beautiful Ukrainian Easter eggs. Mom had a busy social life dancing with her friends at the Regina Senior Centre. She was a longstanding member of St. Michael's Bukovinian Ukrainian Orthodox Church. The family expresses special thanks to the wonderful staff and care at the Langham Senior Citizen Home. When asked how she was, Mom would always say 110 %. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, April 4, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Regina Funeral Home, Hwy #1 East, Regina, SK.
