BACK, James Allan
James passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at the age of 94 years. He was predeceased by his wife Caroline; daughter in law Bonnie; brothers, John and Bill; sisters Priscilla, Alice and Mabel and friend Irma Hoffman. James is survived by his son Wayne (Marg), grandsons Michael (Jayda) and their children Everley and Decklan; Colin (Raedon) and their children Beckett and Harper; daughter Gayle Toth (Pat), granddaughter Jodie Sommerfeld (Jadon) and their children Raya, Rhett and Owen. James was born on November 11, 1918 in Serath, SK. He served in the Canadian Army during World War II
. In 1942, he returned to the Back homestead where he farmed for nearly 40 years. He enjoyed the typical pastimes of country life - curling, visiting friends and relatives, watching hockey and serving on various community organizations. He was an avid sports fan - especially the Roughriders, Blue Jays, Toronto Maple Leafs and Raymore Rockets. One of his greatest pleasures was vacationing in Hawaii with Carrie and his children and grandchildren. In 1990, he moved to Regina, where he could enjoy his retirement years with his family, friends and especially his grandchildren and great- grandchildren. James was a very kind and patient man who will be missed by everyone who knew him. A family service will be held at a later date. Flowers gratefully declined.
