Joseph Malcolm Yuzicapi

Joseph Malcolm Yuzicapi (Mah'pe'yah Wa'kan), carried two other names was born November 15, 1921 and passed away on January 2, 2013 at Regina General Hospital. Joseph was predeceased by his wife, Mary Windigo and son Dwayne Yuzicapi, his parents John & Lucy Yuzicapi, brothers George (Isabelle) Goodwin, Peter (Elizabeth) Yuzicapi, Archibald (Beatrice) Yuzicapi & Charlie Yuzicapi, sisters Madeline Yuzicapi, Rose Chorney and two sisters in childhood, niece Colleen & nephew Leonard. Joe Yuzicapi is survived by his nephews Larry (Janet) Yuzicapi, Myles (Brenda) Yuzicapi & their son Cody Yuzicapi, as well as numerous nieces, nephews & grandchildren. Joe worked briefly in the salt mine in Chaplin, was a band councilor on Standing Buffalo Reserve & a singer across Canada. A Wake will be held on Sunday, January 6, 2013 at Tatanka Najin School Gym, Standing Buffalo First Nation at 4:00 PM, followed by a Funeral Service on Monday, January 7, 2013 at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Our Lady Of Light Cemetery.
