Robert MONTGOMERY

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert "Don" Montgomery on January 2, 2013. He passed away peacefully at home in Moose Jaw at the age of 76. Don was a retired school teacher with the Moose Jaw Public School Board. For many years he volunteered with the Saskatchewan Teacher's Federation and Scouts Canada and will be remembered for his great willingness to help others less fortunate than himself. Predeceased by his father, Robert "Bob" Montgomery, and his mother, Verna Bauck, he is survived by his daughters; Corinne Pirot of Regina, SK and Tracy Montgomery of Ottawa, ON; his sister Carol Hadley of Saskatoon, SK; six grandchildren; Jennifer Calnek, Jillian Mesch, Quinton Pirot, Robert Deobald, Andrew Deobald, and Emma Deobald; 6 great-grandchildren and numerous extended family and friends. In accordance with his wishes, no funeral service will be held. A family memorial service will be held in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Saskatchewan Heart and Stroke Foundation, 279 3rd Ave. N., Saskatoon, S7K 2H8, would be appreciated.
