I knew Don in the Irrigation Industry, Remembering Don as a friendly helpful individual . I used to help Don get his product together and coach Don for the job at hand! Sorry to hear of his tragic passing., he will be missed. Wonderful Individual. Going to miss him.

I was so saddened to hear of Don's passing. I was so fortunate to see both of you at the class reunion a few year's back. Don hadn't changed much since we rode the bus together all those years going to school. I always remember him being a fun guy to be around. Don's kindness and gentle spirit will be missed by many.
May you find comfort in all the memories that you have of Don.

I was one of Don's customers for many years, right up to his untimely passing. In a world of dealing with careless service people, Don was a bright star. He was more than just a professional, he was a kind and thoughtful individual whose visits never failed to make my day. He was just such a pleasure to have around. I am so sorry for your loss. He will be remembered fondly.

We are so sorry to hear of Don's passing. We would see him once a year when he cleaned out our sprinkler system. Always such a friendly, easy going man, whenever we would briefly talk to him, if we were home. Praying that God guides you and your family, as you navigate through this difficult time.

So sorry to hear about Dons's passing. We would see him once a year when he serviced our home. Over the last 10 days he always had a smile on his face and was a pleasure to chat with. A great person our hearts go out to the family.

Belinda and family, I cannot express my sympathy enough. We have been a customer ever since you bought the business from Greg all those many years ago. Don became such a good friend and resource and can never be replaced in my books. I will miss having a coke ready for him even though you weren't supposed to know. I met Don 3 years ago as I worked with the Landscaping / Irrigation in the Glenhaven Condo Community. I so enjoyed his company as we fiddled with irrigation heads trying to improve the system. Belinda...I am so so sorry ....This is Carol Kocian on McNeill in Canmore...II just found out about Don's passing, as I had sent him a text yesterday...and Bob (my husband) just called from Distinctive Homes as he just received email from Chris Gitzel. Chris also sent the link to connect with you.
I'm in such shock, as I'm sure you are as well...
Through the years of Don servicing our irrigation, I'd grown extremely close to Don...rain...shine...stormy...cold...Don was always here for me.
The tears will not stop flowing...I,m so very sorry for your loss. He will always hold a very special spot in my heart.
My prayers are with you and your family, as you process the unfortunate loss of your very dear "man"...Don.

Dear Hugh, Donna, Sarah & Laura; Belinda; Cheryl & family; Mark & family,
My deepest condolences on the tragic passing of your beloved Donny.I know he was your guy, that special man who you could always count on.
He was your much loved brother, brother-in-law, favourite uncle, husband, father and grandpa. AND to the rest of us, he was a heck of a nice guy... I was so fortunate that I got to know Donny, a wee bit better when he was renovating and fixing up Hugh & Donna's Lake Bonavista house Other Donny memories come to mind, and I smile... reminded of Hugh & Donna's frequent holiday trips to Calgary and their tent trailer camping at KOA and many of their yyc friends and their extended yyc/ab family would gather. We would enjoy visiting, lawn chairs gathered, food/coffee and other beverages served. At other times, In later years, I would run into Donny and family when they would also come out to cheer on Sarah and Laura's basketball games, while they played for Lk Bonavista or when their Sask rep club teams came to Alberta for tourneys.
Sadly, sorrow is the price of loving someone
The only thing that lasts longer than sorrow is LOVE. May your memories bring comfort as you grieve your huge loss. Donny's Saskatchewan roots served him well, his outstanding prairie work ethic, his friendly and humble nature, and his willingness to lend a hand to family friend or stranger. A life well lived and way way too short. God bless.

It was a pleasure and a privilege to have Don as a customer and friend over the last few years. There were many a time when Don would come into our office and we would try to solve the problems of the world in a few short minutes with many laughs along the way. Dear Hugh and Belinda and families,
I was devastated when I heard of Don's tragic death. Growing up with him, my memories are of a kind, gentle, good humored and fun loving individual. He will be missed by all that had the fortune to have made his acquaintance. I am very sorry for your loss. I would also like to say that I have been thinking of you and your families as well as reflecting back on memories of times spent with Don while growing up in rural Saskatchewan.
