Bernard (Ben) Emil Schultz
March 30, 1930 - January 1, 2013
Bernard Schultz passed away at the Regina General Hospital at the age of 82 years. Bernard was born on the family farm at Lang, SK to Edward (Ed) and Christina Schultz. He was predeceased by four brothers, Arthur in infancy, Albert, Ernest, and Walter; sister-in- law Emma Schultz; brother-in-law Robert Posehn. Left to mourn his death are his sister Evelyn Posehn of Regina; brother Irvin (Dorothy) Schultz of Fort McLeod, Alberta; sister-in-law Ruth Schultz of Weyburn; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Bernard (Ben) received his education at Heiberg Country School at Lang. After helping out on the family farm he was employed with the Calgary Stampede for twenty years. He then retired to Brooks, Alberta where he loved to fish. In 1996 he moved back to Regina. Ben loved to joke, he always had some tales and jokes to tell especially at coffee row and the complex where he lived. We all will miss him. Funeral Service will be held at Grace Lutheran Church, 1037 Victoria Avenue, Regina, SK on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Jeremy Swem officiating. Graveside service will be held at Weyburn Hillcrest Cemetery at a later date. Flowers most gratefully declined. Donations in memory of Bernard may be made to Grace Lutheran Church or to a charity of your choice. Special thanks to the doctors and nurses on Unit 3F at the Regina General Hospital for their loving care. The family would also like to thank his neighbours at Grace Lutheran Place for their help and concern.
