It is with great sadness the family of Robert (Bobby) Corman, lifelong resident of the Zenith/Davyroyd District, of Saskatchewan, announces his passing on November 15, 2012 at age 84. Bobby is survived by his wife of 61 years, Norma (Thorsness); five children: Guy (Nadine), June (Harald) Ensslen, Anne (Chris) Duffy, Trace, and Bill (Darlene); seven grandchildren: Justin, Tess, Shai, Daniel, Christine, Cady and Mick, one great-granddaughter Mina; two sisters, Ferne Lindeburg and Shirley Mossop, in-laws Ethel Corman and Shirley Corman, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Bobby was predeceased by infant son Don, parents Henry and Mary (Stewart) Corman, three sisters Jean Corman, Doris Allen and Nan Corman, three brothers Ronnie, Harold (Bub) and Edward (Teddy). Bobby was born on June 18, 1928 on the farm twelve miles east of Assiniboia. Bobby married Norma Thorsness on March 3, 1951. Bobby farmed all his life. This harvest, Bobby ran his trusty 1480, to bring in a bumper crop of durum wheat. Bobby enjoyed his family, his friends, farming, curling, football and baseball. In 2012, the Saskatchewan Curling Association awarded Bobby Corman an Honourary Life Membership. In 2005 the province of Saskatchewan awarded Bobby the Commemorative Medal for the Centennial of Saskatchewan for his contribution to the development of farming and his support of curling. A CELEBRATION OF BOBBY'S LIFE will be held Monday, November 19, 2012 at 1:30 PM in the Prince of Wales Cultural Centre, 201-3rd Ave. West, Assiniboia, SK. The Reverend Marilyn Leuty officiating. Donations in Memory of Bobby may be made to the Davyroyd Memorial Cemetery, cheques payable to the Davyroyd Zenith Community Club. An online book of condolences may be signed at
