BURANT, Eleanor Pamela (Yanish) March 9, 1941 May 10, 2018 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother and grandmother. Eleanor was predeceased by her husband, Andrew on February 25, 2018. She is survived by her daughter, Denise and granddaughter Nicole; daughter Debbi and grandsons Marshal and Riley; son Darryn (Janine); grandchildren Arryn and Joseph; daughter Jennifer (Rob), grandchildren Logan, Cassandra and Vanessa. She was predeceased by one brother Peter; two sisters Jacqueline and Patricia; and survived by four sisters Grace, Margaret, Sylvia (Mel) and Cynthia (Barry); and two brothers Gerald (Carmen) and Ronald (Kathy). Eleanor was born in Yorkton, SK. Eleanor and Andrew moved to Regina in 1961. She was an avid reader and her dream job was to be a proof reader for a publishing company. Though that dream did not come true she was known for her passion for reading. To her grandchildren she represented love and kindness. Some of their fondest memories are having sleepovers at her house where she would French braid the girls' hair and make snacks of honey toast and tea. Going to grandma's house always meant delicious cinnamon buns and peanut butter cookies. She is a testament to the value of food in bringing family together. She showed them how to stop and smell the roses and not take small things for granted. The family would like to thank the Regina General Hospital ER, Pasqua Hospital ER, 3E RGH, 3B Pasqua Hospital, and Palliative Home Care for the wonderful care Eleanor received during her short fight with cancer. Her Oncologist team of Dr. Leong, Dr. Bradel and Dr. Hagel as well as Greg, Social Worker at Allan Blair Cancer Clinic were compassionate and supportive. Eleanor ended her journey at the Regina Wascana Grace Hospice. A joint memorial for both Eleanor and Andrew will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers we ask a donation be made to Hospitals of Regina Foundation, #225 1874 Scarth Street, Regina, SK S4P 4B3, Allan Blair Cancer Centre, 4101 Dewdney Avenue, Regina, SK S4T 7T1 or Wascana Grace Hospice, 50 Angus Road, Regina, SK S4R 8P6.
