Fredrick Barnabus Flaman
June 11, 1928 – December 14, 2012
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Fred - husband, dad, grandpa, and great- grandpa. Fred lived a "good life" of 84 years in the community of Southey where he was born, raised his family, and farmed. He enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren grow and passed along his love of music, travel and learning. He was always up for a good game of chess, cards or a puzzle challenge. Fred was humble, generous and faithful - actively involved in many aspects of his church. He is reunited in heaven with his parents Katherine (Dengler) and Karl Flaman, brothers Karl and Bill, and sister Caroline Martin. Left to cherish countless memories are his loving wife of 62 years; Martha Brodner, his 8 children: Paul (Maggie) Flaman, Marge (John) McFadyen, Agnes (Darryl) Dennis, Al (Anne) Flaman, Cecile (Rich) Miller, Loretta (Chris) Froh, Janet (Norm) Trenaman, Fredrick/Rick (Sharon) Flaman; 24 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 21, 2012 at 11:00 AM at St. James RC Church, Southey, SK. Fred's family wishes to thank the staff at the Pasqua hospital for their compassionate care. Donations in memory of Fred can be made to St. James Parish, Box 386, Southey, SK S0G 4P0.
