Gary Morgan 1956 - 2017 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Gary Morgan on November 26, 2017 after a brief illness. Gary was predeceased by his father, Lorne, and nephew, Conrad. Gary's legacy will live on through his greatest pride and joy, his daughter Juno Morgan (Corey Freek) and grandchildren James and Shelby. Also left to cherish his memory are his mother Alvina Morgan, brother Wayne Morgan (Marianne) and their daughter Laura Conly (Russ), sister Carol Morgan (John Maysenholder) and their children Lisa, Tessa, and Jonathon, and Juno's mother Donna Lee Howes. Gary was a creative and talented musician. His love of music was evident early on when he and his high school friends formed a band that won a contest, resulting in a Winnipeg recording session. He played with many Regina musicians before his career in audio engineering took him to the Vancouver area. His varied experiences, vast knowledge, and professionalism made him a respected and sought after sound recording engineer with CBC television and radio in Vancouver. He recently retired after a long career, having worked with many well known and highly qualified artists, producers, and technicians. Family and friends were important to Gary and he maintained strong relationships that stood the tests of time and distance. Gary had a great sense of humour and was quick to laugh. He will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him. The family thanks the medical staff at Ridge Meadows Hospital, Maple Ridge BC, and Royal Columbian Hospital (ICU), New Westminster BC, for the care and comfort they provided. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a charity of your choice. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
