LACROIX, Gwen
With heavy hearts and great sadness, the family wishes to announce that Gwen Lacroix of Esterhazy passed away in Regina on Tuesday, February 26, 2013, at the age of 68. She left this world peacefully with family by her side after a brief but valiant fight with cancer. Gwen was predeceased by her parents John and Lydia Jurick; father and mother-in-law Alfred and Christina Lacroix; brother-in-law Earl Scott; and brother and sister-in-law Lloyd and Linda Lacroix. She is survived by Glenn, her loving husband of 46 years; daughter Jan Lacroix (Joe Skehar); daughter Karen Kozak (Clinton) and her precious grandson Jonathan; sister Mavis Scott; brother Dennis Jurick (Marie); sister Maxine Millham (Donald); brother-in-law Herb Lacroix (Carol); sister-in-law Elaine Berthelet (Paul) as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Gwen was a beautiful, vibrant, caring person and a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Some of her interests included fashion, interior decorating, travelling, and tending to her flowers and yard. Her greatest joy was her family, and the light of her life was her grandson Jon. She will be dearly missed and is now our guardian angel forever looking over us. The family would like to thank Dr. Rayson, Dr. Kilmury, and all the nurses and staff on 3B and 3A at the Pasqua Hospital for the excellent care provided to Gwen while she was ill. Also, many thanks to everyone who helped the family during this difficult time. Prayers for Gwen will be held at Our Lady of Victories Roman Catholic Church, Esterhazy, on Monday, March 4 at 7:00 p.m. and Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, March 5 at 10:30 a.m. with interment following at Kaposvar Cemetery. If so desired, donations to the St. Anthony's Hospital Building Fund, Esterhazy may be made as a token of remembrance. Arrangements entrusted to Peter Carscadden Funeral Service. (306) 745 – 3304.
