It’s been almost ten years since Horst’s passing. I have often thought about him through the years. I have fond memories of working with him at Tourism and visiting with his family, Jane and the kids - Chris, Dieter and Willie. At times he was inspiring and I miss his keen intellect. I hope that time has healed the pain for his family and all who were close to him.

We were very surprised to here of Horst's passing and can only say I deeply regret it it was so long after fact. We extend our deepest condolences to Horst's family and fondly recall the memories of our times together as students at U of R and while raising young families many years ago.

I am sorry to hear of Horst's passing. Many memories are alive at this time, of Horst and his family and some very good times we shared. A part of ourselves is gone, as happens when a friend dies. My sympathy to his family.

Very sad to hear of the passing of someone I knew well in my Regina years; from Victoria Elementary through to Central Collegiate and the fine arts years.
My condolences and heartfelt sympathy to his children and family.

Words cannot explain how much Horst meant to me. During my extended visit to Canada, Horst took me in, got me on my feet, and loved me like family. The memories I have keep coming back like it was yesterday. From opening his door and heart to me, he eventually introduced me to my future wife, gave me shelter, and supported me though the toughest time of my life-I give thanks. The time spent reasoning, reading, and playing music together, I will never forget. Your memory will not be forgotten Horst. As I lift my glass in thanks; cheers, this one's for you buddy. We love you. Luke and Sarah

My condolences to the family and friends of Horst. Although I have not had any contact since we were kids, I remember spending a lot of time riding bikes with Horst in grade school days. So sorry to hear of his passing.
