It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ivan Zadravec, of Regina, on Monday, December 31, 2012 at the age of 76 years. He was born on January 9, 1936 in Sv. Urban, Croatia. He was predeceased by his parents and brother Andre in Croatia. Ivan is survived by his wife Ana of 56 years; daughters Darinka (Brian) Schiissler and Milly (Murray) Wolfe; grandchildren Daphnie (Russ) Robertson, Michael (Kama) Schiissler, Jared and Jason Wolfe; great-grandchildren Rhianna and Morgan Robertson, Aidan and Sydney Schiissler; brothers August (Marija) and Franc (Branka) of Slovenia, Stanislav (Rosemarie) of Australia; sisters Emilija (Mirko) Jambrovic of Slovenia and Katarina (Anton) Levacic of Croatia; brother-in-law Stefan Tkalec of Slovenia; sisters-in-law Marija Kelenc of Slovenia and Vera (Joe) Rajner of Kitchener, ON; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Ivan immigrated to Canada with his wife in 1958 settling in Regina. In 1963, being a blacksmith by trade, he started his own business, Ivan's Iron Railings until 1971 when he started building houses, retiring in 1979. He enjoyed family gatherings, teasing his grandchildren, fishing and playing cards with friends. A CELEBRATION OF IVAN'S LIFE will be held at Regina Funeral Home, Hwy #1 East, Regina, SK on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Ivan may be made to the Arthritis Society, 110, 2550 – 12th Avenue, Regina, SK S4P 3X1.
